Day wise tour itinerary
On arrival at the Cochin airport /railway station, our company representative will meet and greet you and accompany to the hotel. After a quick check in, our representative will hand over an exclusive welcome kit, explain the itinerary and comfort you for the trip ahead.
In the afternoon, you will go for a local tour of Chennai, which was once known as Madras. Known among the busiest and wealthiest seaport in South India, this place has a charm of its own. Here, you will visit Fort St George, George Town, Poonamallee High Road, Anna salai, Chepauk and Triplicane, and San Thome Basilica. In the evening, you will visit Marina beach. Overnight stay will be arranged in hotel.
Early morning, you will have breakfast at hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram, which is a famous beach resort and a great historic place of South India. Mahabalipuram was known as Mamallapuram previously and gets name from one of Pallava kings. The rock cut and free standing monuments are one of the main highlights, and you will love the sights here. Local tour includes Shore temple, Pancha Rathas, Descent of the Ganges, Krishna Mandapam, and Varaha Cave Temple. Overnight stay will be arranged in hotel.
Early morning after breakfast, you will take a drive to Pondicherry. Pondicherry, also called as Puducherry, is 162 kms away from Chennai. The place is also famed for former French settlement. On arrival, you can check-in at the hotel, and the rest of the day is free for shopping. Overnight stay at hotel!
In the morning, you will proceed for a local tour of Pondicherry. Sri Aurobindo Ashram is the main attraction of the place, and you can find the samadhis of Sri Aurobindo here. Visit time is between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm. Later, you can head to Pondicherry beach, spend time in Botanical garden and museum. Overnight stay at hotel!
Free day in Pondicherry, and later on, transfer will be arranged for Chennai Airport to return back home with contented memories of South India.
